Hydrogen peroxide
Characteristics
H2O2, presents its action when, in the presence of living tissues, it decomposes into an oxygen atom and a water molecule, thanks to the action of an enzyme found in living organisms called Catalase. What this enzyme does in nature is to neutralize H2O2 molecules so that they do not cause toxicity. This released oxygen atom is extremely reactive and attaches itself to any other O-1 atom forming a stable oxygen molecule O2 or attacks a nearby organic molecule by oxidizing it.
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful oxidant that very effectively destroys anaerobic organisms (living without oxygen) that are responsible for rotting and contaminating our crops. H2O2 has a strong destructive action on fungi, molds, bacteria and other infectious agents, as well as some contaminants.
Applications
The doses to increase the presence of oxygen in the shrimp farm water are:
- 3.0 ppm DO use 8 lt / ha
- 2.5 ppm DO use 10 lt / ha
- 2.0 ppm DO use 12 lt / ha
After adding the Peroxide to the water, monitor every hour and add amounts as required by the crop.
Storage
Shelf life, one year from manufacturing. Store in a cool place.
